The successful applicant will need to have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated and inclusive of a team culture. You should be proficient and professional in the operation of all relevant hand and power tools, and be driven by the desire to be responsible for the completion of first class, professionally delivered and operating installations that you, the company and the client are all proud.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to organise, plan and carry out tasks in a logical manner;
  • Ability to understand and complete a wide range of different mechanical tasks including general engineering  and pipework fabrication;
  • Have a strong work ethic and deliver a high standard of workmanship;
  • Able to work independently and within a team, supervise others when required - both in house and sub trades;
  • Have a valid NZ Driver’s Licence;
  • Excellent technical ability and attention to detail;
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans;
  • Proven work experience, preferably within the petroleum industry or related trades;
  • Reliable;
  • Have a strong ethos to health and safety;
  • Majority of work is Christchurch based but flexibilty required from time to time within New Zealand for special project work;
  • New Zealand residency or valid work visa;
